We all know that being active is a very important part of our health. However, with our busy lives, it can feel difficult to fit in anything else, let alone a whole workout routine. The thing we need to remind ourselves is that we need to make time for exercise. This is very important to our health and our weight loss so we can’t make it something optional.
It does take some strategy and some willingness to try a few things and fail before effectively being able to make time for exercise, but it’s certainly worth it. It will help you to feel better about yourself, maintain a healthy weight, look better, sleep better and even manage stress better.
Of course, those are all great things, but how do we make time for exercise when it feels like we don’t have five free minutes, let alone thirty?
Here are a few great ways to make your life a more of an active one:
Get active with your family – Two or three days per week, take the whole family outside so you can all play together. Shoot some hoops, play tag, ride your bikes or play Frisbee at the park. Hikes are also a family favorite because they combine exercise with the chance to enjoy nature.
Find short workout videos – There are tons of DVDs and videos online that give you workouts that are around 15 minutes long. Do these whenever you can fit them in. It’s a lot easier to make time for a 15 minute workout than it is for a half hour. Now the trick is simply to do it twice each day.
Walk around your neighborhood – Every morning when you first get up or every evening immediately after work, head out for a brisk half hour walk around your neighborhood. Do it enough times and you’ll get to know your neighbors, too. If it sounds boring on your own, get a family member or a friend to join you!
Use your lunch hour to its fullest – Get outside and walk around while you’re on your lunch break from work. Even if it’s just for fifteen minutes, it will make a difference to your energy levels and calorie burn. It also means you’ll only have to fit one more brisk walk in that day to meet your daily quota!
Dance commercial breaks away – When you’re watching television with your partner or kids, take the commercial breaks as cues to get up and move. Dance around to whatever music is playing in the background!
If you find you just don’t have the energy to do it, then try a diet pill like APEX-TX5. It will give you the energy you need and boost your calorie burning at the same time!
